Our Work: The Three-Pillar Model
The Coalition's work is built on three interconnected pillars that transform research into collective action, ensuring that robust evidence drives real-world impact in AI design, policy, and public awareness.
Pillar 1: Advance Evidence and Foresight
We build a robust evidence base to understand how AI affects children’s development. Through our transdisciplinary research hub and quarterly Child-AI Labs, we unite tech R&D teams with child development experts to map industry priorities, identify research gaps, and publish key findings in Research Reports and biennial Industry Trend Reports.
Key Outputs:
- Design Guidelines
- Industry Trend Reports
- Research Reports

Pillar 2: Shape Product, Policy, and Adoption
We translate evidence into actionable tools for developers, educators, and policymakers. We co-design industry standards for child-centered AI, informed by our research. We also conduct targeted consultations with governments and NGOs to produce Summary Reports and Policy Briefs, shaping a regulatory environment that protects children.
Key Outputs:
- Industry Standards
- Summary Reports
- Policy Briefs & Guidance

Pillar 3: Expand Collaboration & Awareness
We strengthen cross-sector collaboration and build global awareness. Through workshops, conferences, and our annual summit, we facilitate dialogue and knowledge exchange. Our Global Knowledge Platform provides open access to research, tools, and insights, while strategic media outreach brings children's digital rights into the broader public conversation.
Key Outputs:
- Workshops & Conferences
- Annual Summit
- Global Knowledge Platform
