Our Mission
We are a multi-actor global initiative launched by everyone.AI and the Paris Peace Forum to safeguard and empower children under 18 in the age of Artificial Intelligence.
Why We Exist
Children under 18 make up one-fourth of the world’s population, yet their needs and rights are largely absent from current debates on AI. As AI rapidly reshapes how children learn, play, and connect, we face a critical inflection point. Our mission is to establish a global reference point for what safe, ethical, and developmentally appropriate AI for children should look like.

The Coalition brings together governments, academic researchers, technology companies, NGOs, and civil society actors to bridge product development with rigorous scientific evidence, influencing real-world policy and practice.

The Challenge
Children’s brains are uniquely sensitive to environmental influence. During the first 25 years of development, their brains are undergoing profound changes, where they are constantly learning new skills, and accumulating knowledge, making them both especially receptive and vulnerable to external influences.
Poorly designed AI systems risk disrupting children’s cognitive and socioemotional development by displacing or replacing crucial experiences. However, if aligned with children’s developmental needs and rights, AI could also become a powerful tool for learning, equity, and creativity.
Now is the time for forward-thinking investment in child-centered AI design, grounded in developmental science.
